Todd is the BIG 3-0!!!

For a FANTASTIC man like Todd, one celebration of his birthday just doesn't prove to be enough. So, here are a few pictures from the different celebrations that were held for the Birthday Boy!!!

On the actual day, Todd spent the day with only the best....ME and Godiva Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory!

Here is Todd as he is blowing out the candles at the combined Wolthuis-Herbert Family Easter and Birthday Party! His track running lungs proved to still be at their best as he was able to get all of the candles out with just one blow!

Here is Todd as we celebrated with the Grunander Family during our time in Utah.

Todd is truly the BEST! He is absolutely brilliant...a genius if you ask him...good-looking, kind and thoughtful, sensitive to my needs and those around him, a wonderful physician and surgeon that his attendings, fellow residents, nurses, support staff and patients admire and trust, and puts up with more than any other man I know would even begin to consider to tolerate. I thank God everyday for blessing me with Todd...I would be lost without him! I am so grateful for his listening ear, support, and endless willingness to always be there for me! I LoVe YoU BABE!!!

1040...Itemized Deductions...WHAT???

As many of you know, Todd and I have been extremely upset for the past 6 weeks about our taxes. Our attempt to crunch the numbers revealed we were going to be paying about $5000 in federal alone....a far cry from getting money back for the last 8 years! A few more desperate calculations were no different. Agonizing hours were then spent going through a 10 page tax form trying to recall every penny we had spent in the last year that fit in any of the categories and another 2 hours with a tax account specializing in helping physicians proved very fruitful however.

The VERDICT...we owe $1200 in federal and are actually getting $400 back from the state.

Tax Account Fee $250...I sadly may not have a cute article of clothing or pair of shoes to show for that amount of money, but definitely some of the best money I have ever spent!

Happy Birthday to Brittney....I am glad that my sister-in-law can also be my friend. You are the perfect girl for my brother, Johnny. I am so happy you are in our family. We always have lots of fun with you....thanks for putting up with all the craziness in our family. Love You!
